La Colaborativa is a non-profit that focuses on stabilizing, resourcing, and providing workforce development to Latinx immigrants in Greater Boston. The organization hired Gamble Associates (with help from Goode Landscape Studio) to develop plans for a new building (the Development Center) and the resulting interbuilding gathering space. In addition to its campus, the organization leases a parking lot under a highway, which it uses for food distribution and community gatherings and performances.

We were hired as a public art consultant, researching Latinx case studies for culturally reflective public spaces. They designed initial concept plans and spatial configurations of potential programs, orchestrated workshops with the leadership team to define needs, and worked with Goode Landscape Studio to develop potential site plans. As of late 2024, the project is still ongoing.
